In this article we show how we set up the water training with our Wusel.
Of course, the hot summer came in handy for the exercises.
The first practice was on 20 July this year.
It was the hottest day this week. 🥵
We were in the Amperauen.
The Amper has many shallow spots there. But the current is not to be underestimated, as you can see in the last video, so Wusel is secured with a life jacket and a leash.
My mistress is also standing in the middle of the river.
We had the second opportunity to practise on 25 July 2022 in Igling.
In the best bathing weather, we worked on the water work again today.
The Wusel didn’t dare to go that far in yet, but she did get the practice duck out.

18 August 2022 – Today we had another opportunity to practise for the BHP-3 in Igling. In the pouring rain the motivation was not very high, but the Wuseline dared to go into the water a few times.
1 September 2022 – Today we were at the water again in a playful way. A stick lying around was the object of desire, so we didn’t even need the practice duck.
7 September – The Wuseline becomes a water dachshund after all! 💦
Today the knot seems to have finally burst and Wusel had real fun with the water work and it was no longer a problem to throw the practice duck a good 10m and let it fetch.
21 September 2022 – Actually we were just practising for the BHP, but when we arrived at Ammersee it almost felt like a holiday ! ☀️🏖🌊😎
Our Bavarian lakes are so beautiful and Wusel hardly wanted to get out of the water.
After these 6 practice sessions, the dress rehearsal for the BHP-3 took place for the first time on 24 September 2022 on the water where the test will also be.
The Wuseline took to the water well and we are confident that we will pass the test! 💪🏻
