If you feel like it, you can easily make treats for the dachshunds yourself.
It’s not that difficult.
What do we need?
For dried strips of meat, a dehydrator is advantageous.
Cut the meat into 5mm thick slices/strips and leave in the dryer at 70°C for 12 hours.
For the cookies you need a silicone baking mat.
Our dachshunds are really into tuna.
Tuna and cottage cheese treats
1 can of tuna with juice
2 eggs
1 teaspoon coconut oil or salmon oil
2 tablespoons cottage cheese
8 tablespoons spelt flour
200ml water
if available 1 teaspoon green-lipped mussel powder
Puree the tuna, mix with all other ingredients.
Spread into the baking mat.
Bake for 20min at 180°C
either in the oven or in a drying apparatus
Enough for 2 1/2 small bone mats + 1 1cm ball mat
Store in the reusable vegetable bags from Rewe, Aldi and Co. or in a cookie tin
